True Builders

We emphasize that we are true builders in addition to being general contractors. We define a builder as a cross between a master carpenter, engineer, designer and artisan. A builder has hands on experience and is knowledgeable about every step in the building process. By contrast, someone who is only a general contractor and not also a builder often relies on their subcontractors for expertise and acts mainly as an outsourcer.

Unlimited License

Danford Builders has its unlimited GC license in NC and SC which means there is no limit to the size of residential or commercial project we can undertake. This is important in setting us apart from the majority of general contractors and allows us to take on projects that enable us to use our talents in building and design to the fullest. The Danford Builders logo was inspired by the monograms artisans involved in the Arts and Crafts movement used to sign their work. We feel that each home we construct is like a piece of art, and like the Arts and Crafts artisans, we also want to sign our work to show our pride.

Although Danford Builders does any style of construction or architecture, we feel that the stress placed on the fine craftsmanship during the Arts and Crafts movement exemplifies what we do. The Arts and Crafts architects and builders also focused heavily on intelligent design and making the home fit the land, two other areas heavily stressed by Danford Builders.
